Trim the wick before every light
It is normal for wicks in Coco-Soy Wax to mushroom, but this can be reduced by trimming your wick to 5mm. This will ensure your candle does not burn hotter than it should & aid in prolonging the life of the candle. Trim the little ball on the end of your wick to keep your candle burning gently. Be sure not to cut it TOO SHORT as it will become engulfed in wax.
First burn
Allow the wax to burn across the entire surface to the edges of vessel.
Avoid drafts
Keep candle away from drafts & vibrations around the home to help keep an even clean burn.
Extinguishing flame
It is better to use either a wick dipper or flame snuffer rather than blowing candle out to prevent wicks drifting off centre.
Cleaning
Keep the melt pool clean. If you get any black at the rim of the vessel, wipe it away.
This could be an indication that the wick was too long.
Burn time
For safety reasons do not burn candle more than four hours at a time.
Keep clear from children and pets at all times.
Never leave unattended.
When there is less than 10mm of wax remaining in base of vessel, it is time to clean the jar to either repurpose, refill or to grab yourself another Flickering Elements candle.
